Here’s a quote of the day as we heard Steve speak about families at their best:  “Learn to waste time with those you love“.

Food for thought!  What does “wasting time” mean to you?

Time spent with loved ones is never wasted time.
Wasted time is when you have missed an opportunity to spend time with loved ones, family, when you have made the wrong choices with your time. Take every opportunity you can to spend time with them, it will never be wasted.

For me, it’s quite a challenge, as I tend to live a prett ‘time-starved’ life. But challenge is a good thing, to help us change. It’s especially hard with little kids as you have to rush them off to bed as soon as tea is finished so they can get some sleep. It can be hard to ‘waste time’ with them on weekdays. I think it’s all about being creative though. Taking the ordinary times that are already there and making the most of them. Taking some time when putting them to bed to read them a story rather than just closing the door.

I’m putting a lot of thought into all of this as I know my kids deserve the very best.
