Religion vs Relationship
We are a group of people from all walks of life dedicated to making a difference in this world. We believe the message of hope and love through Jesus is as relevant today as ever before in history. Therefore, our vision as a church is to be a door of hope through Jesus Christ in a fragile and uncertain world.
Despite our current times of doubt, uncertainty and insecurity we believe hope can be found. We are motivated to see lives changed as a result of being transformed by Jesus Christ. As a result of this passion we are not interested in the constraints of religion; we are interested in relationship with God and with others.
We don’t claim to be a perfect church, but through God’s love, conviction and vision, we strive to be the group of people God intended us to be.
Through specific projects, we’ve been able to partner with the community in making positive changes with the Overnight Drop-in Centre for those found in a tough situation and living in the streets; we are currently developing a crisis care centre for families in need of accommodation; and we’re able to give away cars thanks to Mad Wheels and its long term program to provide good working vehicles for those who are stuck. These are just a few of the many things that go on around Door of Hope.
