"God places the lonely in families” (Psalm 68:6)
Recommendations of self-isolation and gathering restrictions (in light of the COVID-19 pandemic) does not mean Tasmanians have to go without church or community.
When we realised how many people are potentially going to be alone and isolated for periods of time, our first thought was, ‘What do we have available to us that can help our community through this challenging time? How can we be a family to these people?’”
In addition to online-only church services, Door of Hope will provide assistance to the Launceston community, particularly to anybody who is in self-isolation on their own. A team of staff and volunteers is preparing to check up on people at home via regular phone calls and assist with grocery deliveries. If you find yourself needing to self-isolate, fill out the form below.
We'd love for you to join us on Sundays for one of our online-only church services at 10am or 5pm, plus a kids service at 11:30am. You can also play the services back at any time using the links at the top of the page.
Whether you are a person of faith or no faith, we want to help you. As we wait to see what unfolds, let's do it together in community - we're here for you.
